A Victorian terraced house, which is a Listed Building, located in the Middle Street Conservation Area, Deal. Le Vaillant Owen secured listed building consent working with Heritage Officers and clients to create a beautiful large ground floor rear extension, roof alterations and sensitive internal improvements including reconfiguring the internal staircase to improve accessibility and installing attractive new bathrooms and a kitchen. The project was a great success. The clients said: “Over the years, we have appointed Valerie help us with improvement projects on three of our homes in Deal. She is easy to work with, listens carefully to our requirements, and translates them into lovely design ideas. When our neighbours at our house in Union Road said we would never get Listed Building Consent to remove a chimney and build a sizeable rear extension, Valerie exceeded expectations by securing permission, so we could enlarge our house to accommodate an ever-increasing number of grandchildren! The extension was a source of great enjoyment for our family, and we were delighted with Valerie’s work. We trust her completely.’
