When Valerie decided to relocate her business to Deal, she completely refurbished 29 The Strand in Walmer seafront Conservation Area to use as a family home, and built new offices and a design studio at the end of the site, with a separate entrance off York Road, directly behind 29 The Strand. Valerie secured a highly beneficial Planning Permission because, at three storeys tall, the office building is the most intense development on York Road.

The office building has garaging and storage at ground floor level, with two floors above it, and has been expertly designed by Valerie so the front elevation appears to be a two-storey development on the York street frontage, with the roof eaves aligning with others in the streetscape, whereas the rear elevation presents as three storeys tall. The office building is sensitively detailed, respecting its heritage setting, and has a slate roof, yellow stock bricks, gauged arches and a band course, with an elegant iron hanging sign and ornate Juliette balconies.
