Total Motor Care is a successful, established MOT and car repair business located on the Sandwich Industrial Estate. To accommodate business expansion, Valerie was commissioned to secure Planning Permission for two more garage bays of the largest possible dimensions that would fit on the site.  This was a complex project, given the site is in a flood plain, immediately adjacent to the river Stour, and on the outskirts of historic, mediaeval Sandwich, where there are significant archaeological remains. There were many technical issues to manage, including contaminated land, noise, drainage, lighting and parking, as well as environmental issues to resolve, such as biodiversity and ecological enhancements. Valerie successfully achieved Full Planning Permission in 2026, adding significant value to the land and to the business.

This client has retained Valerie as his Architect and Planning Consultant for many years,   working with her on a range of projects, (both residential and commercial) across his business portfolio.
