Projects
Rural Areas
Country properties, properties with land, equestrian properties, farmhouses, barns, smallholdings, country houses & cottages. Le Vaillant Owen has worked all over rural East Kent, including many of the villages, such as Ash, Finglesham, Eastry, Worth, St. Margarets and Kingsdown. Valerie has also worked with many of notable land owners in the area, including the Lord Northbourne and Hon. Sebastian James, and long established farming families.
“We purchased Four Winds, as our ‘forever home’. It is a fine, detached, Arts and Crafts house, high on the cliffs at Kingsdown, but was in a dilapidated condition and had been poorly extended and altered over the years. Valerie completely remodelled the house, beautifully restoring the original front elevation, and re-ordering the rear elevation by adding a distinctive, principal entrance canopy, and an elegant rear extension with a large lanternlight and sliding/folding doors, which contains a sleek kitchen. Valerie secured the Planning and Building Regulations approvals, enabling us to restore the exterior, and transform the interior into a spacious, contemporary home. She also tendered the work and supervised the construction on site. Valerie worked closely with us to create the ‘house of our dreams’ and we are delighted with the completed project which has high-quality design and great finishes throughout. It is a triumph!”
